BIBUS METALS AG was founded in 1979 after becoming the exclusive distributor for Special Metals Corporation - the world’s leading developer and manufacturer of nickel alloys with production plants in the U.S.A. and Great Britain - in Switzerland and Austria. Headquartered in Fehraltorf near Zurich, we also maintain a large warehouse in Birsfelden / Basle. BIBUS METALS AG belongs to the BIBUS HOLDING AG. Right from the start BIBUS METALS AG built and expanded the warehouse for large stocks of rods, bars, sheets, plates, tubes, pipes, wire, strip and welding material so that it rapidly became the foremost deliverer for heat and corrosion resistant materials. The integrated Service Centre offers customers reliable and rapid service. In order to enlarge its portfolio BIBUS METALS AG has added in the early nineties Titanium and Titanium Alloys to its already extensive range of products. In 2000 BIBUS METALS AG became the exclusive Special Metals distributor for all Eastern European countries. Today BIBUS METALS has offices and warehouses in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania. A further office has been opened at the beginning of 2006 in the Ukraine, followed by subsidiaries in Russia (2007), China (2008) and England (2011). As a supplier of nickel- and titanium alloys, quality has always been of great concern to us. We took the challenge in August 1994 and required the ISO 9001 acc. to the rules of the Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems. All our material is purchased, stocked and controlled according to these rules. We guarantee re-pursuit over a period of 12 years and accomplish the requirements of product liability. Since 2013, BIBUS GROUP represents an Italian company specialized in foundry activity, and production of cast nickel base alloys was initiated. In the early Eighties, the Company began to supply cast valves for offshore and oil & gas markets, and has been one of the first European foundries to reach relative qualifications. Metallurgy has been widened on duplex, superduplex and superaustenitic range of alloys, also through exclusive production licence agreements with the Swedish Companies Avesta Jernverk AB and Sandvik Steels AB. Sand castings production has been coupled with the production of centrifugal castings, with extension of reference markets. Today, the company produces static castings and centrifugal castings in corrosion resistant, special stainless steels and nickel base alloys mantaining a worldwide leadership position. PRODUCTS HORIZONTAL CENTRICAST ITEMS Mechanical line pipes, line pipes for nuclear power stations, hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders, industrial gases production, conveyors rolls for pulp and paper, dairy, textile, printing, metallurgical industries, bodies for HP ball valves, rolls for heating furnaces, seats, rings, nozzles, radiant tubes, fittings for petro chemistry, assembled components. Outer diameter from 80 to 1500mm, minimum internal diameter 45mm, unitary lengths up to 5500mm. Wall thicknesses from 10 to 150mm. VERTICAL CENTRICAST ITEMS Balls and flanged bodies for HP valves, seat rings, cylindrical and shaped rings, flanged bushes, valves wedges, hydraulic cylinders and turbine seal and wear rings, seats, conical parts for centrifuges (rotors, bowl shells), valve cages, flanges, high pressure filter housings, conical parts for roll conveyors, gas turbine components, components for petrochemistry (tees, manifolds, line pipes). Outer diameter from 280 to 1400mm, minimum internal diameters 115mm, lengths up to 1000mm. Wall thicknesses up to 250mm. Balls from 6″ to 32″, with or without trunnions. Mould preparation The company has the availability of a moulds warehouse that satisfies all dimensional needs. Moulds for horizontal and vertical centrifugal castings allow us to obtain products with dimensions near to finished products, minimizing cast weight and machining allowances. After being selected, the mould is placed on a rotating centrifugal machine, preheated and covered with a refractory coating, ready for the pouring process.
